The Dropship is a military flying vehicle used by factions, just as Hawk Team, and hypercorporations. It has a troop bay, mainly to carry larger task forces and heavy equipment, among other things.

Dropships are much larger and bulkier in comparison to the Jumpship, but it is still very maneuverable and can be piloted manually as well.

Uses

Perfect Dark Zero

Dropships appeared more prominently throughout the singleplayer game. Most were painted in gun-black and had tilt-jet and offensive capabilities. Rather than appearing in cutscenes, they were seen in-game dropping off DataDyne or Carrington reinforcements with the former able to be shot down by conventional gunfire.

Killian utilised a heavily armed Dropship to ambush Joanna and Jack across the Rooftops, but he was prominently shot down until Chandra arrived to extract Joanna at the cost of losing Jack to Datadyne forces.

Perfect Dark: Janus' Tears

A dropship or "troop carrier" is used by the Hawk Team to invade the Institute facility in Los Angeles. Joanna Dark climbed on a wire up to the ship, and dropped a shaped charge, resulting to its explosion and falling debris around the district. David Roarke was the only survivor.

Around midnight an Institute Dropship comes to collect and extract Joanna from Zentek's Imperial Warehousing Facility from Industrial City back to LA. Later, dropship Tango Seven transported Joanna to the Mercy/Fasthelp™ Private Medical Facility. Tango Seven stopped Miranda Sturgis's escape, and then flew Miranda to dataDyne's HQ in Seattle.

• Carrington Villa: Hostage One: seen dropping off the Negotiator, and secretly Joanna Dark
• Carrington Institute: Defense: Intened to take Joanna and Daniel to The Whitehouse, and subsequently the staff of the Institute to safety during the attack.

Perfect Dark Zero

• VR Training: Providing close air support when Joanna met Jack up at the top deck.
• Rooftops Escape: Killian utilised a heavily armed version to attack Jack and Joanna throughout the chase. It was later destroyed in a final showdown.
• River Extraction: Dropships arrive to drop off enemy reinforcements in a bid to cut off Joanna and the rescued CI agents. They can be destroy to prevent this from happening.
